Climber lowering a large section of trunk on a tight lot in South Houston, TX

Careful Tree Work for South Houston Homes

South Houston is a small, tight-knit city surrounded by Houston and Pasadena, close to I-45 and Hobby Airport. Most of its neighborhoods are older, with homes on compact lots, and the trees planted decades ago have grown into big shade trees that sit right next to houses, fences, garages and power lines.

Big trees on small lots require precise work. Root Branch 'N' All has worked on Houston-area trees since 1992. Our crew is arborist-trained and safety-trained by a professional instructor, and we are OSHA-trained. We take trees down in controlled sections and lower every piece so nothing lands where it shouldn't.

Our South Houston Tree Services

How We Remove a Tree With No Room to Drop It

  1. Plan the pieces. We decide how each limb and trunk section will come down before the first cut.
  2. Climb or use the bucket truck. Our 60 ft bucket truck reaches high limbs when there's access; otherwise we climb.
  3. Rig and lower. Heavy pieces are tied off and lowered with ropes, clear of the roof, fence and power lines.
  4. Work top to bottom. The tree comes down a section at a time until only a short trunk is left.
  5. Clean up. Brush is chipped, wood is hauled away, and the stump can be ground.

One of our customers whose tree had fallen on her house put it this way: "If done wrong the roof and fence could be damaged even more... He took his time and did no further damage!"

Trees, Foundations and Sidewalks

On small lots, roots don't have much room either. Big trees close to houses can lift sidewalks and driveways, and many homeowners worry about foundations. If roots are damaging your property, or a tree is simply too big for its space, removal may be the right call. We'll look at it with you and discuss options, including pruning where it makes sense.

Storm Damage in South Houston

Strong storms move through the Houston area every year, and older, larger trees are often the ones that fail. Before the season, have dead limbs removed and heavy canopies thinned. When a tree or limb falls on your home or across the street, our 24/7 emergency tree service can remove it safely.
