Pricing and Estimates
How Much Does Tree Removal Cost?
Tree removal starts at $400. The final price depends on the tree's size, what it's near (house, fence, pool, power lines), how easy it is to reach, its condition, and whether you want stump grinding and full haul-away.
Are Estimates Really Free?
Yes. We come out, look at the job and give you a free, no-obligation estimate with no hidden fees.
What Affects the Cost of Tree Trimming?
The number and size of trees, how much needs to be removed, how close they are to structures or lines, and access to the yard.
Do You Charge Extra for Cleanup?
Cleanup is included in your estimate. You can choose to keep the mulch or firewood, or have us haul everything away.
Tree Removal
How Do I Know If a Tree Needs to Come Down?
Warning signs include a new or worsening lean, soil heaving at the base, large dead limbs, cracks or cavities in the trunk, fungus at the base, and roots damaging foundations or driveways. See our guide to signs a tree needs to be removed.
Can You Remove a Tree That's Over My House?
Yes. We take trees down in controlled sections, lowering heavy pieces with ropes or working from our 60 ft bucket truck, so nothing falls on the house or fence.
Can I Keep the Wood?
Yes. Ask, and we'll leave manageable lengths for firewood.
Trimming and Tree Health
When Is the Best Time to Trim Trees?
Winter, while trees are dormant, is a great time for structural pruning and thinning. Dead or hazardous limbs should be removed any time. On oaks, the Texas A&M Forest Service advises avoiding spring pruning where oak wilt is a concern. Many homeowners also schedule work before hurricane season.
Do You Top Trees?
No. Topping causes decay and weak regrowth. We thin and reduce trees properly instead.
Can a Sick Tree Be Saved?
Often, if the problem is caught early. Our tree surgery and feeding and maintenance services can help. If a tree can't be saved, we'll tell you honestly.
Stumps, Brush and Cleanup
How Deep Do You Grind Stumps?
Typically 6 to 18 inches below grade. We backfill with the grindings and can add topsoil and seed on request.
What Do You Do With the Branches?
We chip them on site with high-powered chippers. Keep the mulch for your beds or have us haul it away.
Storms and Emergencies
Do You Offer 24/7 Emergency Tree Service?
Yes. Call (281) 337-4783 any time for fallen trees and storm damage.
What Should I Do If a Tree Falls on My House?
Get everyone to safety, stay away from any downed lines, take photos from a safe distance, then call us and your insurance company.
How Can I Prepare My Trees for Hurricane Season?
Have dead limbs removed, heavy canopies thinned and leaning or decaying trees checked before the season. See our hurricane season tree guide.
Palms
What Is Lethal Bronzing?
A fatal palm disease spread by a small planthopper insect. Infected palms can't be saved and should be removed promptly so they don't spread it.
Do You Remove Palm Trees?
Yes, including dead, storm-damaged and Lethal Bronzing–infected palms.
Firewood
What Firewood Do You Sell?
Split, cured oak, pecan and maple firewood, plus oak and pecan BBQ wood, with pickup or delivery.
